Ffa Coffi Pawb!

Title Sequence & Motion Graphics Package

Overview

Directed by Dylan Goch and produced by ieie Productions, Ffa Coffi Pawb! is an S4C documentary telling the story of the seminal 1980s Welsh band whose members went on to form Super Furry Animals and Gorky's Zygotic Mynci.

Against the backdrop of political activism, cassette tape culture, and the rise of Welsh language broadcasting, the film captures a pivotal era in underground music. Bait Studio was commissioned to craft a visual identity that matched the band's irreverent, DIY ethos while delivering a sleek, broadcast ready finish.

Our Approach

Working closely with the production team, we developed a motion graphics package rooted in the "cut and paste" aesthetic of 1980s zine culture, VHS textures, and raw gig flyers.

  • Title Sequence A fast paced kinetic intro blending archival footage, risograph textures, and bold typography set to the band’s iconic sound.

  • Archival & Photo Treatments Custom graphic overlays that ground historical photos and rare footage directly into the vibrant era.

  • In Show Graphics Clean chapter cards, and contextual trackers designed to keep the narrative moving seamlessly without overshadowing the interviews.
