Paul Nicholas

Creative Director

Paul founded Bait and oversees the studio’s creative output and leads the design process on all the studio’s design projects. He’s been into cycling since before everyone got into cycling.

Peter Rogers

Creative Producer

Peter is the main point of contact for our clients. He previously worked in advertising as an award winning creative and manager before putting his Raindance Producer’s Diploma to good use. He is also a published graphic novelist.

Christian Lett

VFX Supervisor

Christian supervises our visual effects projects, from script stage through to final delivery. His eye for detail, technical knowledge and strong sense of story makes him invaluable on set and in studio.

Helen Pooler

Production Manager (Motion Design)

Helen runs the studio and makes sure our motion design projects are delivered on time and to budget. Prior to joining Bait she worked for Tidy Productions (Stella, The Great Outdoors). She is also an accomplished photographer.

Lucy Lawson-Duckett

Production Manager (Visual Effects)

Lucy oversees all our visual effects productions, keeping them running smoothly from start to finish. She has previously been the VFX Co-Ordinator on productions such as Da Vinci’s Demons and Ethel and Ernest the movie.

Llyr Williams

Lead VFX Artist

Llyr takes charge of the look development for our visual effects projects, drawing on his fine art background. He has previously worked on Doctor Who, Upstairs Downstairs and a number of music videos.

Francesca Fornoni

Senior Motion Designer

Fran is an established member of our design team, who is comfortable collaborating with others or leading projects herself. She has studied both Visual Communication and Animation and her work encompasses a variety of styles.

Anthony Williams


Tony has over six years of industry experience, graduating from University of Glamorgan in 2010, working for a number of companies before settling with Bait Studio again this year. His credits include Dr Who and he has worked with Daniels, the creators of Swiss Army Man.

Phil Highfield

Motion Designer

Phil is an experienced motion designer. He was working in Shanghai creating graphics within the advertising industry prior to returning to Wales to join Bait.

Zach Evans

Junior Motion Designer

Zach studied animation in Newport, before freelancing as a motion designer. He worked as a layout artist at Cloth Cat animation before joining Bait. He likes Spurs and goth music.
